VNAS fixes all kinds of industrial robots such as welding robot, painting robot, plasma cutting robot, laser cutting robot, picking robot, loading and unloading robot, feeding robot, self-propelled robot, assemble robot.
Vendors already set the robot’s working hours limitation in order to overcome the demand for replacing robots’ expensive spare parts or consumable parts. For example, ABB Robot about 20,000 hours, Kuka Robot about 10,000 hours, etc. However, depending on working conditions and factory environment, we need to monitor the health of industrial robots so that they are always in the best operation, avoid the loss caused by having to stop working the whole production line as well as too much damage leads to more expensive parts replacement.
How long do you need to maintain industrial robots?
Normally, it is easily know that we need to repair robot when it is heavily damaged, how about maintenance them? Maybe you do not want to care for while the robot is working properly or spend a certain amount of money taking care of your robot until a serious malfunction occurred. This could be such a big mistake; however you should actively eliminate by variety of reasons.
First and foremost, regular maintenance allows you to identify potential problems with industrial robots before they turn into huge problems that required repairing. Whenever realizing any parts is about to wear out or damage soon during maintenance checking, we should quickly replace as soon as possible.
Moreover, conducting regular maintenance for industrial robots allows you to extend their longevity significantly. Even if nothing is damaged, when the robot is poorly cared for, it could cause additional wear or tear to its mechatronic parts. You might not notice issues in daily operation, but over time those wear and tear can add up and terminate the robot's functioning.
Last but not least, you are in control of robot's endurance, reduce prolonged repair of the robot or continuous damage affected production lines by regular maintenance.
Then, if you are looking for a skilled engineers team to repair or periodically maintain industrial robots at your site, do not hesitate to contact us immediately for better advice.
If there is any problems occur after checking, you can either solve the problem by stages, fix the problem without delay when that robot is not working normally, or else replace with another one. By this way, you can significantly reduce downtime and maintain products’ productivity. On the other hand, if you wait until robots stop working, your entire production line could be halted once you figure out how to thoroughly solve the problem and bring all production back to its original state.
Hence, how often should you schedule maintenance for your industrial robots? The answer here is not the same for all robots, it depends on each robot's working environment.
Different robot builders will give you different timeframes for their maintenance: FANUC recommends a maintenance routine every 12 months or 4,000 hours. YASKAWA after 8,000 hours. PANASONIC after 5,000 hours. KUKA every 10,000 hours and ABB is around 20,000 hours.
Checking the manufacturer's recommendation for professional maintenance advice as soon as you pick up that robot is the very first step you should follow. If you cannot find a recommendation in the instructions, contact the manufacturer to find out. Any maintenance schedule they provide is something you should strictly follow. You can certainly schedule maintenance more frequently, but should not wait longer than the manufacturer's recommendation to schedule maintenance. When scheduling routine maintenance, it is such an important to schedule with an experienced specialist in order to know your robot's brand as well as have a thoroughly maintenance routine for your robot.
